How To Install Tor Browser On Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Jammy

Learn the steps to install Tor Browser on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Jammy Linux using command terminal to surf anonymously and securely.

Tor uses the principle of onion routing to encrypt the connection and transfer user data over the Internet. It allows anonymous and secure browsing on the Internet.

It also offers its own browser (Tor Browser Bundle), which already contains the appropriate Tor configurations and other modified scripts – it is based on Mozilla Firefox ESR. The official Tor Messenger has also been around since 2015, which uses Instantbird as its base but encrypts information via off-the-record (OTR) messaging – Tor network anonymization is also already built in.

Tor allows completely two-way anonymization; a randomly chosen route goes through the Tor servers. The network itself therefore does not use just one server but generally connects to at least three servers in order to increase the quality of the anonymization.
