Google Chrome is the most popular internet browser on the planet. It can do a lot of things, and one of them is passwords. Google Chrome is actually a password manager, of sorts. If you want, it can remember the passwords for the various sites you visit, and it’s tied to your Google Account where those passwords are actually stored, of course. In this article, we will show you how to access your passwords in Google Chrome.

We’ll show you how to do it both from the Google Chrome Android app and from the web client on your PC. It’s really quite simple to do, all you have to do is click on specific settings, and that’s it. Once you arrive at your destination, you will be able to check, modify and delete the passwords saved for you. You will also be able to tinker with some password-related features. That being said, let’s get started. Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to do this through your app and web client, and we’ve included some screenshots as well.

How to Access Your Passwords in Google Chrome Through the Web Client

To access the “Passwords” menu through the Google Chrome desktop client, you must first click on the three dots in the upper right corner.

A context menu will appear, with a number of options, one of which is “Settings”. It is located towards the bottom, as shown below.

A new page will open, with a bunch of different menu options on the left side. You will notice the “Autofill” menu, which is in the second line, this is where we need to go.

In the “Autofill” section, you will see the “Passwords” menu, which is on the first line.

That’s it, we are now in the ‘Passwords’ menu. At the top there are a number of options related to passwords. You can, for example, prevent Google from automatically logging you in, and even prevent it from asking you if you want to save a specific password. By default, Google will offer to save new passwords that you enter while browsing. Towards the bottom of the screen, you will see the “Saved passwords” section. This is where all your passwords are stored. You can tap the three dots next to them to get more options.

Once you have done this, a context menu will appear, allowing you to copy, modify and delete this specific password.

To access this same menu from your phone, you need to launch the Google Chrome app and tap on the three dots in the upper right corner.

Once a pop-up menu appears, tap on the last option in the list called “Settings”.

A new menu will appear and the ‘Passwords’ menu will be on the list.

You will get the same menu as on the desktop, including very similar options. Your currently saved passwords will again be displayed at the bottom. To check one out, all you have to do is touch it.

In this particular case, I opened my AliExpress passwords. From this menu, I can modify or delete it. You can do this with every saved password, of course.
